Ashley is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and current transplant to Los Angeles, CA. Most recently she could be seen finishing her second run with the Hollywood Fringe Festival, as well as in the feature film Circle on Netflix, iTunes, and other VOD platforms. She is an actor in and producer of the award winning web series The Vault.
Originally from Plato, MO, a home that provided 'good roots' but a town where opportunity unfortunately lacked, she had to drive an hour both ways to get to a theatre, a place where she could act. After embarking on several productions with that theatre and graduating high school, with honors, she applied and auditioned for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Upon acceptance she moved from that town (population 74) to New York City. She was invited into the second year of studies and before she knew it, was walking across The Majestic Theatre stage to accept her diploma from AADA. Favorite roles, to date, include Dede Cooper in Ladies at the Alamo, Abigail Williams in The Crucible, as well as some from intense scene study such as Catherine from Proof, Stella from Streetcar Named Desire, and Alice from Pizza Man. _______________________ Hard-working and responsible, an over-achiever to the core. General interests include: Film/Theatre (all aspects), music, dancing, life, adventure, travel, language, food, the ocean, architecture/interior design, and crime scene investigation/forensics. A self-described paradox. |

"Taking ownership of a role, of a project and pushing it to new heights, is what will continue to catapult Key into the limelight. We won't give away much more, other than to say there is no other film like 'Circle.' Ashley Key stands out beautifully, but we want to see more." -Idobi Radio |
"There is nothing condensed about Ashley Key's portrayal of Della Young... Key manages to convey the emotions of the distraught wife, and her performance keeps the audience captivated. As the main character, Key stays true to the original story and sets up the ending for those unfamiliar with the O Henry tale with the ultimate irony." -The Guidon |
"...Missouri already claims Brad Pitt as one of its own in the acting field. Hopefully, someday we'll be saying that award winning actress Ashley Key is from our state too." -The Kaleidoscope |
